چکیده
Abstract. In copper extrusion, the dies are continuously subjected to high thermo-mechanical stress. This results in elastic and plastic die deformation as well extensive wear. To estimate strain of possible hard phase surface modifications during service, knowledge behavior extrusion is required. Therefore, made four different tool materials was investigated present study. The applied were hot-work steel 1.2367, special CS1, nickel-based alloy 2.4668 (Alloy 718) cobalt-based 2.4775 (Stellite 1). 3D scans created, both initial state after each three cycles, utilizing structured-light scanning. trials carried out using an 8MN press configured for direct billets commercially pure Cu-DHP (CW024A). By evaluation scans, progression determined dependence on material. Finally, compared corresponding numerical investigations deformation.

Optimization of Axisymmetric Extrusion Die Profiles
In this research, optimization process of axisymmetric extrusion dies is proposed. Plastic zone is analyzed using finite element method in the Eulerian system with flow formulation. The die profiles are defined by Bezier curves with six control points. Two effective functions are considered in this research; standard deviation of the strain rate and the rate of energy consumption during extrusi...
متن کاملPlastic deformation of 7075 Aluminum Alloy using Integrated Extrusion-Equal Channel Angular Pressing
Grain refinement improves the mechanical properties and formability of metals and alloys. So far, several different grain refinement methods have been proposed and studied. Severe plastic deformation is one of the most promising and efficient methods. Therefore, in the present study the possibility of imposing a two-step severe plastic deformation (Extrusion and Equal channel angular pressing) ...
متن کاملPlastic Deformation in Laser-induced Shock Compression of Monocrystalline Copper
Copper monocrystals were subjected to shock compression at pressures of 10-60 GPa by a short (3 ns initial) duration laser pulse. Transmission electron microscopy revealed features consistent with previous observations of shock-compressed copper, albeit at pulse durations in the us regime. The results suggest that the defect structure is generated at the shock front. A mechanism for dislocation...
متن کاملAtomistic based continuum investigation of plastic deformation in nanocrystalline copper
A continuum model of nanocrystalline copper was developed based on results from independent atomistic calculations on 11 bicrystals containing high angle grain boundaries. The relationship between grain boundary structure and its mechanical response was investigated. Based on the atomistic calculations; a constitutive law for grain boundary interfaces was implemented within a finite element cal...
